(32,074 posts)almost everything else about them is (R). As for the remainder, I am not at all surprised, and I suspect that the rankings may be juggled around a little, as many of these states have drastically reduced testing. Looking at you Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

(2,328 posts)Per capita translates directly to per head. And it is generally meant as another way of saying per person.

(9,760 posts)I was thinking per capita meant per-a-certain-number-of-people--generally for COVID numbers I've seen per 100,000--but that's wrong.
However, what I think threw me off is that I don't get what "Total covid cases per person" means. A person isn't usually going to have more than one case.

(4,533 posts)It seems to me that Repubs dont take precautions as much as Dems so in a given geographic area Ibthink a higher percentage of Repubs will get infected.
