What kind of mindbending is taking place to make this nomination from being non-hypocritcal?

This is insane and undemocratic !!

Just called my Senator"s office and was coolly told that because Republicans have the Senate and the Presidency that it's just fine that they appoint the new SCOTUS 40 days before the election.

It's so hypocritical and unethical to stand on that!

I told his staff person to look at the bigger picture. How can we accept any nomination from a President who is not by law allowed to participate in running a charity and has been impeached.

I'm furious and shaken by the cool acceptance by these Republicans. I said that I was concerned that we are losing our democracy and even our republic. We will have no representation if this is allowed to continue.

How must we stop it now!!!!!!

We are the majority!! I'm getting out there tomorrow morning. I'm calling my other Senator's office and confront him.
Can anyone else here go to their Senator's office or call them tomorrow and tell them that if they support this they are against our country and our democracy and our republic?

is that the Senate majority always confirms a nominee of a President from their same party.

A nominee by a President of the opposing party can be denied consideration.

But something about the Democratic arguments from 2016 is resonating with them now, and they have switched sides.

Fine, but they have to retroactively switch their 2016 position on account of the verbal contract and legal precedent they created.

Sooooooo Kavanaugh is OUT.

I mean there may be some words coming out of their mouths, but none that they actually believe in. Because they only believe in power, no morality, no ethics, no justice. Just power.

Ethics is not in their mind set and human brutality is the victim's fault.
We have an amazing group of kind and wise people in this country and we had a just and open government. It is corrupt now and we have to fix it.

Of course Biden is the first answer and stopping all the destructive propaganda, but searching our hearts on what is right and wrong to maintain responsible individual rights. That should always be the goal.

They’ve gotten the prize. They’ve won the game. They did everything they had to do to get it. They stole two elections, they refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of our President, they stole his pick. They did what was necessary to get to this point and they’ve paid no price for it. No punishment for the illegal wars, no punishment for colluding with Russians, no punishment for anything. And they keep getting elected to Congress.

They’re horrible people but they’re much better at this than our side is. They just are.
