Counterpoint: The election will be called for Biden the minute West Coast polls close
Trump will slink off into obscurity with his whole fucked up family, and even half the Red Hats will deny ever having supported him the way people deny having bought Vanilla Ice's To the Extreme which sold 15 million copies.

On states that are likely to be called quickly on election night. I’m taking about the Marylands, Massachusetts and Oklahoma’s of the world? I have. And Trump ends up behind in the EC after those states are called. So much for the red mirage meme.

58. I believe most states are counting the absentee/mail-in ballots
pretty much as soon as they come in. Some states apparently won't even start counting those until the close of polls on November 3. That would be based on the fact that those states no doubt had very restrictive rules about who could vote absentee, and so had very few such ballots to count. This year every state is going to have a significant number of those to count.
But yeah, most states will have most of them counted by Election Day. The fears that it will take days, or weeks, to have a valid result is just nonsense. |

94. FWIW - Many do not count until night of election
How long it takes them to count them once the start is something I am not sure how to ascertain.
it is worthwhile to check to know what your own state is doing (see link below). https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/vopp-table-16-when-absentee-mail-ballot-processing-and-counting-can-begin.aspx Mine does not count until election night. I am going to wait a while to see how all this 'news' plays out before I decide to stick to my plan of hand delivering my mail-in or risk voting in person. and here it is important I bring the mail ballot to surrender if i want to be allowed to vote in person.(I read that in some states, (e.g. OH) if you have the mail ballot, and you want to vote in person, they will only allow you a provisional ballot that will take many days to be counted.) I hope people do not mess up on details like this and undo their own ability to vote. Be careful and thoughtful people, and know all the rules so you can vote victoriously! BLUE WAVE!!!!! |

73. So is NC
As absentee/mail-in ballots arrive, the local boards put them into scanning machines, but the results from those absentee ballots aren’t tabulated or reported until Election Day. But, the good thing is that since they’re already counted (or at least the majority will be), NC will likely be called that night.
Absentee ballot requests as of a couple of weeks ago were around 650k. About 330k were from Democrats. Only a third of that number were from Republicans. My parents and I have ours already. We don’t trust what DeJoy has done to the USPS 🤬. So, we’re waiting until we can turn them in at an early voting site next month, rather than hope that they don’t “get lost” and then have to try to get a new one or vote in person with a provisional ballot. |

I think while some states might not be "official" on election night, enough results -- and enough DECISIVE results -- will be in that we will know who won. I think we will also see a lot of races that will portend the final results in the presidential election (e.g., a close Senate race in South Carolina and Georgia, etc.).

The reality is pussy grabber can't afford to leave office because of his criminality. The legal challenges by DOJ will start immediately. The courts will decide the election.

52. Been saying that for months now
Nov.3rd Biden will be elected President and it will not interfere with the local nightly news timeslot. I get all this caution with Democrats especially with that happened in '16, but this election is over and Trump will whimper away like a whupped puppy.

if Biden gets to 200 before the west coast weighs in, he's in. Cal + Ore + Wash + Nev is 70 votes that will not flip red.

100. The Magats Are Not Leaving
Although I was surprised by the closeness of the election; I am not surprised at the reactions from many on the right. I did not think the red hats would turn their backs on Trump, or claim they never voted for him. I thought that if anything was going to happen it was going to be that Trump denied ever being the leader of the red hats. I thought there was a chance that he would try to claim that the red hats was something connected to Joe Biden and the Democrats.
I thought that would be a few people who were going to pretend they had not been a part of the red hat brigade. I thought people like Coby Covington would come out and claim that he had not actually been a red hat, or he would just try to make the transition by claiming that he was actually just supporting the American flag and the country, but now that Biden has been elected President he was a supporter of Biden because he was a supporter of the country. I also thought there would be a few politicians who, after the election, started to distance themselves from Donald Trump. I guess I thought that would include Sen. Marco Rubio. So, in the end I am not surprised that the red hats are not leaving Donald Trump. I do not expect them to leave him even after he leaves the White House. |
