(15,805 posts)A coup d'état is the overthrow of a government by non-democratic means. This is exactly what Trump is telling us he will do, describing how he plans to end the American Democracy and replace it with his own dictatorship.
Trump is trying to nullify the election and make himself a dictator. The American People will speak by voting for their preferred presidential candidate, and Trump has declared their votes won't count, silencing those who did not vote for him.

(85,977 posts)...but not prosecutable with a republican majority in the Senate, unfortunately.
I'm convinced they'd just move to dismiss on a party line vote with a simple majority.
