On January 15, 2020, Nexstar announced a national newscast called NewsNation on WGN America.[67] The program launched September 1, 2020 and airs seven nights a week in primetime. NewsNation uses Nexstar's 5,400 local journalists from 110 newsrooms to produce its content along with several bureaus across the country.
