How State Republicans in key states are preparing to run out the clock on the election

Trump's comments about the transition were only the latest instance where he's actively sought to sow doubt into the legitimacy of the election. But beyond Trump's rhetoric, his campaign and Republicans at the state and local level are moving to make it more difficult for voters to cast a ballot, more difficult for states to count votes and more likely that tallies will be challenged in the courts -- with a particular focus on mail-in voting, which is being dramatically scaled up this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s the opposite of what a good government should be working to ensure.

The citizens pass a measure through ballot initiatives and the Republicans in the State House overturn it. We have one on "Clean Missouri" (Gerrymandering & gifts from lobbyists) again on this ballot because the Republicans simply couldn't get over the fact that they might have some limitations placed upon them by the people they claim to represent.

They passed Right to Work (RTW) and then Governor (machine gun, sex scandal) Grietens signed it, the citizens overturned that through a constitutional amendment initiative, but they wanted to come right back with another version after that set back to their plans. Some of the upper management of the GOP figured it was a losing proposition and have given up for now, but that is only until ALEC figures out a work-around I'm certain.

The GOP are simply all horse's behinds (being charitable).

Even at that what will they challenge? Dotard and the repukes have already made several court challenges to mail in ballots and lost all of them.

The states can try and make the counting of ballots harder if they want, that just further drags out the process...they will be counted.
