Trump administration diverted $300 million in CDC funds to make advertisements on how to 'defeat des

The Trump administration diverted over $300 million in funding for the CDC to a COVID-19 ad campaign devised by a political appointee.

The campaign "is expected to lean heavily on video interviews between administration officials and celebrities," Politico reported.
Michael Caputo, the Trump appointee who came up with the campaign, said on Facebook that it had been "demanded of me by the president of the United States. Personally."

The Trump administration is using over $300 million in funding diverted from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to make advertisements to "defeat despair" over COVID-19, Politico revealed Friday

300million... while hospitals are still grubbing for PPE.

PS: it only cost 200million to make the last Star Wars movie. Let that sink in. Where did all of this money go?

It's a million to make it and then 290 million to saturate the airways with the "good news".

It is government funded propaganda

amidst rising infections and deaths, it will be a tsunami.

Using taxpayers money for shithole's campaign is beyond sick and only proves that republicans don't care about human life.

When infections, hospitalizations and death rising which will cause the economy to further collapse wherein the workers have no unemployment because it has been exhausted.

The republicans may have their cult fooled, but I'll give credit for the sane Americans.

It sure why this isn’t a bigger story. Trump is just making the entire government an arm of his campaign.

The Trump Administration is transferring agency funds (paid by tax dollars by all of us) for the purposes of the Trump Campaign (which I hear is $1 million in deficit). They may claim it's for the CDC for Covid to give it the appearance of public health. But in reality, my tax dollars would be indirectly pay for Trump's Re-Election.

I hope he is trashed hard firstly whatever the ads, lightening the effects of covid which I am sure the ads will do but using money illegally for campaigning. I hope this snowballs. I watched a new show he had out during quarantine, cutsey. Certainly not brilliant, but fun.
