(14,302 posts)Gov. Baker is appalled by Trump's comments that he might not leave office if he loses.

(63,221 posts)I have to give credit where credit is due. Even though he is a republican, he has been a really decent governor. I didn't vote for him, but I might consider voting for him in the future. It would depend on who the Democratic candidate is.
He has handled the Covid crisis very well and basically operates like a conservative Democrat. He is a fairly likeable guy. Nothing like most republicans nationally.

(63,221 posts)However as far as republicans go, he is one of the very few decent ones.

(1,123 posts)But, even though he's done a fairly good job, he's still a Republican, I will not vote for any Republican. His Republican roots show up now and then, especially when he recently endorsed Susan Collins. I'd love to see Maura Healey run against him.

(63,221 posts)I would definitely vote for her over Baker in a second!

(8,171 posts)put out an ad for Susan Collins and I do not agree with how he has handled back to school at all.
He did some good with respect to covid19, though I disagree with the spoon feeding (and lost 7k because of it).
I do not vote for Republicans - EVER. It's disappointing that so many Dems who are defending him against Trump say they would or have voted for him. Hope he doesn't try for Senator.
