but if Trump wins and we take the Senate, republicans will blame Democrats for everything that has happened for the last four years as well as the next four years.

regardless. They will blame us for the Pandemic, they will blame up for the debt and the economy, like they always do. Biden will be blamed for the mess he inherited, and will go about fixing. As soon as he starts to tee up some progressive legislation, the shattered remnants of the Republican party will start harping on the debt and say there is no money to pay for anything, so let's just privatize it all like good little disaster capitalists. This is nothing new. Clinton ran into it, so did Obama. This is just how it works.
Unless we break them in November and take over the senate. Unless our mandate is SO big they can't effectively oppose it. This is my one hope.
