That at least 17 of 232 Democrats in the House agree with you.

Which means it isn't going to happen.

Best possible result is that her confirmation is delayed a little? Worst possible result is that it costs us the election.

Yeah... easy decision.

Not necessarily advocating it, but there are scads and scores of malefactors who are subject ti impeachment and trial. Nor is there any 'double jeopardy' in impeachment. Kavanaugh, for instance, could be impeached separately on each single instance of his perjury during the confirmation hearings, no need to bundle everything into one indictment. He made many false statements. Barr commits an impeachable offense before breakfast every day, it would take a good while to run out of them.

The optics of the thing might not go over well, but that is not certain. I am inclined to trust professionals' judgement in such matters. But it is a course I confess a certain fondness for --- it has a smash-mouth quality that appeals to me.
