Our GOTV efforts HAVE to emphasize mailing your ballot early...

...because it's a sure bet that the newly-stacked SCOTUS will invalidate all the states' extended deadlines immediately before the election, when ballots are already in the mail. It will be the most widespread (and thoroughly legal, if the SCOTUS says so) voter suppression effort in U.S. history, and probably more than enough to tip the election to Trump, if we don't get those ballots in so that they're certain to be received, and not just postmarked, by Election Day.

...that the Supreme Court wouldn't intervene in Florida in 2000. I'd prefer making sure we never have to see if that bet pays off.

impartial branch we have to judge an election is the Supreme Court.

If we end up like that, we deserve what we get.

The ballot drop box at my local polling place will do just fine.

10. He is the only one that has won a state wide election during pandemic

That was kind of my point. The state supreme court stopped the voting extension during that election and he used that as dress rehearsal for November 3rd. A 10 point win in Wisconsin is big even for a pandemic especially when the state supreme court overturned the extension. He is ready. That is my point.

The process varies from state to state, so blanket statements about mail-in and vote in person may not apply to everyone.

Definitely, everybody should make a plan and put it in play when the time comes. I'm in a full VBM state (WA) and our ballots don't come out until mid-Oct. Not much I can do before then. But it'll get done, for sure.

...but, when our ballots show up, we're filling them out that day, and taking them direct to the ballot drop box -- and then checking our registration to make sure they were accepted. Granted, you and I live in a state where the presidential outcome isn't in doubt (although some of the statewide and congressional races are), but I hope people will do the same in the states we need to win to drive the orange cancer out of the presidency.
