Gaetz won't debate?

Congressman Matt Gaetz is getting called out for his cowardice in refusing to debate his Democratic opponent, Pensacola resident and U.S. Navy veteran, Phil Ehr.

Forget political parties. The race between Ehr and Gaetz presents voters with a striking contrast between two human beings.

Unlike Gaetz who has been pursuing a taxpayer-funded career in politics since he was in his 20s, Ehr served his country during a 26-year active duty military career.

Gaetz spent his formative years as a young man using taxpayer time and money to paint his face with cosmetics in order to look pretty on television appearances. When Ehr was his age, he was flying combat support missions in Desert Storm.

2. Phil Ehr has to constantly taunt him and force the media to do the same to the point a

debate can happen with an empty chair waiting for Gaetz. We have a similar GOP congress person in Il-13th who refuses to hold town halls and will not meet with more than 6 people at a time if its related to his job. He has not problem being in front of hundreds to campaign he will not take questions that are not pre-approved. He is doing debates becasue he is tied with out candidate and barely beat her 2 years ago,

Debates are customary.

Granted, the incumbent has the advantage of name recognition. A challenger is usually lesser known but they have the advantage of asking, “Why is Gaetz afraid to debate me?” And Gaetz has no answer. (“Sorry, I’m fucking my son that night.”)

Has never had a town hall, won't answer calls and is never in his office. But he'll still win because Ohio 5 is 75% Republican and very gerrymandered.
