Whoever is ahead on election night in OH likely won it.

Safe margins of victory are going to called and ... those that are not safe, will be called "close/undetermined."
And further -- see no reason that the American people are not prepared for that.

(26,044 posts)...that, if Trump is ahead by any amount late on election night, Fox News will call the race for him and hell immediately declare victory and file with SCOTUS to discard any remaining fraudulent ballots.

(11,301 posts)apocalyptic scenario. But, some of the rest of us are just not ready to throw in with it. IMO the voters, the system and the courts are not nearly as lost as you assume them to be. But .. I guess we'll find out.

And the votes that won't be announced for 10 days after the election will likely be accounting for about 1% increase of the total for Dems. Unless it is a super close race, it won't matter.

(10,134 posts)I don't expect some of the Congressional races to be decided for a week or two. The official county results aren't due until about 30 days after the elections, and have been for years.
I really wish the MSM would stop being so alarmist: calling the winner on election night is relatively recent.
