To add I just got a notification for a request for extra money due to some stock transactions. My accountant tells me it is just due to the Feds not taking my actual investment $ and only the sales $, so I won't owe anymore,....but damn, this is infuriating.

No State tax, buy high property taxes, I think around 6%. 300k mortgage, 6% tax, do the math, he screwed them too.

Honestly they are such a cult, I have had numerous RWers here complain about the Newsome gas tax, which might hit them for about $300 a year, always ask them why that seems to be a talking point, yet I never hear about the tRump tax that easily cost them 10x that amount.
