California fire updates: Thousands evacuated, homes threatened, winery and inn burn

Wildfires whipped by gusting winds forced evacuations for thousands of residents and warnings for others to be prepared to flee throughout Sunday night and early Monday in Napa, Sonoma and Butte counties as firefighters battled several new blazes.

Neighborhoods in northeast Santa Rosa were ordered evacuated just before midnight as the Shady Fire continued to burn and spark new fires. Evacuation orders included Calistoga North, Calistoga South/Skyhawk, Melita, Oakmont, Pythian and Stonebridge.

At least 2,200 homes were threatened by several fires in the area collectively called the Glass Fire, which burned at least 2,500 acres after starting as a grass fire around 3:50 a.m. Sunday near Deer Park.

Can't go outside

Its after sunrise but can't see the sun

Numerous friends and family evacuated

This feels like the 2017 fire almost exactly

All packed and ready to leave if necessary.

We've been breathing smoke for a month now.

What troubles me the most about him is his supporters. Con men are nothing new, but he validates these very foolish people, especially the religious zealots.
