(44,998 posts)We all knew what a joke Trump is. What an awful odious narcissist. And what a business failure.

(16,844 posts)I knew a guy from the Bronx back in college in the 1990s and he told me back then what a fraud Donald Trump was. Why, since it's been known so long, did people from other parts of the country not know Trump's story? It's scary how easy it is for some bullshitter to come along and get media attention and deceive so many people. Much of the blame for this falls on the shoulders of journalists who don't ask the right questions and just accept the narrative. I hope this situation will encourage more skepticism about public figures in the future.

(13,257 posts)Well, they put his name on the map after MAD Magazine showed 'em how to spell it in '92. Then he was part and parcel of every "edgy" movie, animated series, and all the other shock jock types; you know, the Hollywood Elite Conservatives; tim allen, andrew dice clay, rush limbaugh, jerry doyle, dwight schultz, bruce boxleitner, janine turner, mel gibson, (was rob lowe a winger before those two 16-year-old girls in Alabama). Maybe bill mahr could do another HBO special on how his balls fell off when he met a feminazi who married his friend. (Feminazi: any woman with an opinion different than the Head Man.)
No such thing as bad publicity; just name recognition and ratings.
