On September 11, what scare did the German press remind its readership of?

It wasn't a bunch of fanatical "towelheads," in case you were wondering:

It said these are our biggest worries. It lists them all, and that’s where Corona landed at number 17. In German, you can say “that is” or “that are.” Just a quirk of their grammar.
