What is wrong with the IRS??

How does tRump get multiple multi-million refunds? We once missed a very late 1099 & they came after us full force. How does tRump get so lucky w/ the IRS? Does he a special friend that works @ the IRS? How can someone be under audit for 10 years? If you lose more than you make, then you go out of business. Pretty simple. Why do people bank on such a loser. NONE of it makes sense.

The IRS is underfunded and understaffed, so they don't want to tangle with rich people who can afford lawyers.

One would think so, but Trump has two things going for him:

1) Bankruptcy laws allowed him to stiff creditors, subcontractors and even employees.

2) He still finds people to loan him money and he's willing to take money from ANYONE (or Russians, Saudis).

the easy way is to go after non-billionaires. Also - the EPA goes after small businesses a lot harder than they do big ones. This ensures hatred of the EPA in the community - big political donors are happy.

But it's just the same old story over and over.
The STORY is one consciously deciding to take the red pill.

It was a computer glitch but still got a letter saying we owed $80 (interest).

It takes an audit and human intervention to evaluate the content of the documents, when you have a non-idiot accountant who can put numbers in the right places on the forms to show a loss..

The big crooks have expensive lawyers and accountants. The IRS is outgunned. So they go after the little guys who can't fight back.

in this country will be, in addition to a progressive tax system, bulking up the IRS big-time to go after these pigs. Then, all of a sudden, like a miracle we'll be able to provide health care to everyone, improve education, improve infrastructure, get off fossil fuels, etc. etc. etc.

I just don’t understand how the IRS is allowed to get away without doing their job. Its as though they are afraid to impose the law on the wealthy. 10 year audits should be outlawed! I agree that if they closed the loop holes, there would be enough money to do many important things.
