We're urging the Senate the delay a vote on the Supreme Court nominee until after inauguration.

Our legal director David Cole breaks down what's at stake if this process is rushed.

if folks like us who opt for civil rights and democracy call our republican senators to request/demand that the vote for ACB be held AFTER the election, I can't see how persuasive that will be.

Example, you're a Democrat in SC and you call Lindsay Graham's Senate office. You make your case simply and clearly. You threaten to vote for Jamie Harrison plus donate money to Harrison's campaign if he votes for ACB. That won't make Graham change his mind and his vote as he knows that you're going to do that anyway no matter how he votes. He cares about his ass, Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the RNC (in that order).

That being said, I admit that I don't have a better idea how to slow down the hearings and the inevitable vote. This situation is dire.
