"Was (you name it) a turning point?"

No. Stop looking for turning points. There has been no turning point. There will be no turning point. Trump's chances of winning reelection has never changed. They never will change because of anything he ever says or does. He will lose if enough people vote. And their votes are counted. And that is all.

For now, just keep working to GOTV. That's what matters now.

And on another note, the only "turning point" that might happen would be a bad one, because Biden has basically been leading since he announced his candidacy. So we should focus on not allowing any turning points.

After that shock, it was obvious he stood scant chance of another term....

Not a sudden turning, where people all at once see the light, but an important turning point nevertheless.

Without COVID, both the deaths and the economic disruption, and I think a whole lot more people would have stuck with Trump who are now switching, and a whole lot of Democrats would have not grown in their enthusiasm for Biden.

It's like we needed a bloody revolution to turn the tide in Biden's favor, and save our democracy, but the battle has been waged in hospitals with unwilling combatants.

Second to that the rise of BLM, and the death of George Floyd in particular. I'd rank that second in effect for swinging the election toward Biden.

I don't think the recent tax disclosures will be as pivotal in swinging votes, but that will help some, and more importantly, I think it takes some of the wind out of the sails of people who would have been working to cheat the system in favor of Trump.

To take.

Which was somewhere between the racist both sides are wrong and that the racist are very fine people, and arresting all Mexicans no matter they lived in the United States and sent them back to Mexico not to mention caging their babies.

I believe at least people started watching him closely after that.
