Okay taking a step back

According to all the polls, Trump is losing the election. He is also very unpopular, with a strong disapproval rating in the high 50s. Americans generally don't like him. They think he's done a poor job in many areas, but what they really don't like about him is that he is a rude boor, an embarrassment as president. They don't like hearing him talk, and they don't trust what he has to say. They don't like his crazy conspiracy theories. They don't like his incitements to violence. They think he's a whiner.

So, in order to win the election Trump needs to win back a sizeable portion of people who have turned away from him since 2016, mainly because they just don't want a president who acts like he does. He needs to win back suburban voters, particularly women.

Has he done anything tonight to change those people's minds?

And Biden made no huge mistakes or gaffes, which is really what he needed to do- and, even if he had made a big mistake, Trump drew all the attention to himself with his behavior.

I can't imagine his performance drawing anyone back into the fold. This is what they're running away from.

No Biden supporters have been swayed.

Very early on, trump was talking as if he had already lost and he's sure playing the rigged election as his excuse.

very much. His hard core base isn't going anywhere. I think Trump probably turned off more people than he won over.

Joe did a good job. No gaffs. He held his temper way more than I would have.

I don't think it helped Trump to say bad things about Philadelphia.

He's thrown plenty of rancid meat at his wacky base tonight, but I can't imagine anyone on the fence would actually be convinced by that performance that four more years of this nuttery is a good idea.

This is perhaps a man who became one undeserving and unfit to hold the highest office in our country. He needs to be removed, resigned, or incarcerated. Though I doubt he'll ever wear a jumpsuit to match his complexion, when in unfixable misery, there's a kindness humans extend to animals...

In his view, Joe is kicking Trumps ass. He is, of course, not undecided, but one of the things I love about that man is how pure his opinions can be. Like, he is literally watching this thing cold.

So, no.

He may have caused some people to just not vote though.

Which probably hurts him more than Biden.
