The simple solution to the debates no one seems to be suggesting:

One microphone on at a time.
When it's biden's turn to talk, turn off trump's microphone.
When it's trump's turn to talk, turn off biden's microphone.
it's fair and it makes sense.
Until they do this, it will continue to be a shit show.
end of story.

on edit:
as an electrician, i can tell you there is a kind of a switch, called a "double throw" switch. this is exactly what they need. only one microphone would operate at a time. there is no way for both to be on at the same time, with this kind of switch. the moderator presses a button and it switches from one to the other.

on edit.
(plus, i just want to see trump trying to interrupt but no sound coming out of his mouth)

chased Biden away.

But, if Biden can make a strong case for cancellibg future debates that will resonate well with the general public and make Trump look like a total ass, then I'd be for it.

However, as long as Biden continues to come across as the rational one who cares about the people and gets his platform across while Trump acts like a bullying idiot, then I'd be for comtinuing the debates.

People will forget the specifics of what was said, but tgey will remember how Trump acted.

Or hold the next one on Zoom and use the mute.

Just straight up questions, separately answered for a 2 minute period

Considering what an ass Trump was, I think that Wallace did a pretty good job. I liked the point where he asked Trump if he would like to just change places with him. Also when he reminded Trump of the terms that his team agreed to.

i'm saying turn it off before he starts interrupting. each person gets their 2 minutes without interruption, period. the other person has no microphone during that time. the problem is that he is still able to interrupt even though he's not allowed to. they have to take away his ability to interrupt in the first place.
