Presidential debate - live: Trump roasted for erratic and angry performance as Biden snaps at rival
The night's host, Fox News anchor
Chris Wallace, came under fire for failing to keep the night on track as the topic plan was entirely thrown out the window in the cross fire of two candidates talking over and snapping back at each other.
In some of the most bizarre and erratic moments, Trump said he doesn't want to pay taxes when responding to reports of his financial records, said past comments on injecting bleach to cure coronavirus were sarcastic, and refused to denounce white supremacy.

How did the debate go down with the American public?
The US president might have bulldozed his way through 90-minutes worth of debate, tried to goad Joe Biden, claimed Democrats were trying to steal the November presidential election and declined to condemn white supremacist groups when asked to do so, but who did the American public think won amid the chaos?
According to a CBS poll,
48 per cent of voters thought it was the former vice-president, whilst 41 per cent said it was Mr Trump and 10 per cent said the debate was a tie.
Another poll, this time via CNN, put the Democratic presidential nominee at 60 percent - and a comfortable win over the president.
