General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsAll the talk and analysis is fine and good but until someone stands up
to Trump he will continue.
He wasn't stopped when he should have been so we are at the point that he's thinking he can just refuse to accept the results of an election and he thinks he will just stay in office indefinitely because he says so.
No one who worked in his administration stood up and told him no. They just slinked spinelessly out the door.
The Senate Republicans didn't stand up during the impeachment and let him know he could get away with quid pro quos with Ukraine.
The Department of Justice let him get away with collusion with Russia and obstruction of justice.
Apparently the State of New York let him get away with financial shenanigans.
The IRS has let him and his family get away with criminal accounting most of his life.
The media made him a "star" and normalized what he does. He has always been a con artist and they gave him a TV show for 14 seasons.
Until the courts hold this administration in contempt for ignoring their orders, they will defy the courts.
Until the House arrests administration figures who ignore subpoenas, they will defy the House of Representatives.
Until everyone stops with "playing nice" we have no Constitution and we do not have a democratic republic.

(11,844 posts)tRump got what he wanted. He destroyed another institution for the viewing pleasure of his mob and the only name I hear all morning is his.
For every mention on morning TV today of Biden there are one hundred mentions of tRump. His name leads every chiron and every discussion.
For him... that is a WIN.

It actually makes me think of my childhood, my big brother was always getting in trouble and he got all the attention, I was kind of ignored for being the good kid.
