(1,568 posts)Such wording may be more likely to penetrate the automatic defenses of the Trump cultists who shootdown anything negative they hear about Trump. Perhaps this will at least allow that thought to get into their head.
I don't know, though. I was always into that way of approaching things pre-trump, but a lot of that stuff doesn't seem to work with them. Just to clarify, I don't think that is Tim Scott's strategy here, I think he's just taking a weak stance on it.

(3,166 posts)I've posted that very thing on Facebook many times. They have convinced themselves that Trump is the savior, and nothing is ever going to change their minds. It describes them to a T.
The other saying that describes them is "It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled."
