Staying behind to answer even more questions after the regularly-scheduled town hall discussion is a brilliant move on Bidens part. Well done!
Whos sleepy?
Whos suffering from dementia?
Whos NOT infected with COVID?
Who actually cares about the concerns of the American people?
All those questions are answered by Bidens extra-inning performance tonight. Hes already knocked the ball out of the park. Now hes just running up the score. And hes still answering questions ...

(9,524 posts)says that is what Joe always does because he just wants people to get their questions answered.
Barack Obama warned Kamala Harris of this habit and complained (affectionately) about Joe often running late because he gets caught up talking to the people, but his being himself tonight was particularly effective because its televised, and it draws a sharp contrast between him and the lazy, sick, narcissistic turd that doesnt give a crap about anything except himself.

The only good thing about these two competing town hall events is that they show how much Biden is held to a different standard as an actual rational human being while Trump just has to get through an hour without lighting a bucket of mice on fire

(128,527 posts)the fact that he stayed and chose to do that (and fortunately ABC showed that he did that), will hopefully be impactful for those folks who were there and they will have discussions about it with their own families and friends and coworkers.

(73,511 posts)Joe Biden is even stronger than I had hoped for. He is entering this phase of his career in a great way. I delivered my ballot today, and am both proud and honored to vote for the Biden-Harris ticket (as well as for Rep. Anthony Brindisi, who I have a very high opinion of).

..know what was really nice watching town hall..that odious vulgar, hideious man wasn't there spewing rw propaganda and lies, racist dog whistles. He did us all a favor by not showing up--gave Biden time to talk directly to the American electorate.
It was breath of fresh air, a respite of paz for once-- listening to Biden's calming assurance that we will get through these trying times together.

But this Joe fella? Seems like a good slot in for the POTUS #46 position once #45 leaves office?
Where is Melania? Packing her bags yet? Junior members of the family panicking yet? Next drop off station for the gravy train is looming large.
Take nothing for granted though. GOTV!!

Maybe someone who actually, sincerely, gives a damn - about someone else beyond himself?
I think we're so unaccustomed to that, by now, that it's not surprising some people react like they've never seen or heard of this kind of response before from a presidential candidate, much less experience it for themselves
