I responded, time and time again, to all the "USA! USA! USA! USA!" "Fight terror!" "Get Saddam before he gets us!" bullshit by speaking about real terrorism. The terrorism that was already here. People who thought and felt the same way as the Proud Boys and Red Hats and MAGAts, who wanted to use "the war on terror" (TWOT, as Jello Biafra called it) as an excuse to go after "the others". The truth is, none of them gave a damn about any so-called "threat" from the Middle East. They saw it as a rallying cry to bully LGBTQ's, or feminists, or people with darker skin than them, or anyone "evil" enough to be to the left of them. I warned them, because, I saw it every damned day as an LGBTQ myself. They didn't give a damn about bin Laden, or Hussein, or al-Qaeda, or ISIS then, and they care even less now. 9/11 was nothing but an excuse to remake "Murka" in their image and start terrorizing anyone they didn't want here.
I'm not here to say "I told you so". I'm here to ask "When does it fucking end?!" The only things that have changed since 2002 is these assholes have gotten louder, meaner, and more well-armed, while they're egged on daily by an orange reality TV fabrication with a Twitter fetish. I wake up every damned day anymore, thinking "I'm not scared of the so-called terrorists over here. I'm terrified of the goddamned second amendment lovers OVER HERE!"
