my name is mo, short for maureen, the gaelic form of mary.
i am the mother of 5 adult children.
my grandparents came here in steerage. famine refugees.
but back in ireland the mc cahills were a powerful family.
i grew up poor, but i am a rich old lady now.
because that is what i come from.

i will add here- kid 1- chemical engineer. kid 2- phd in theoretical math. kid 3-gm of a restaurant. she started out as a server 10 yrs ago. kid 4- drummer extraordinaire. kid 5- sick af, but amazing artist anyway.

i was a full time mom for 20 yrs. married a college kid who was studying those new fangled computer things. went on to be the vp of computer architecture at a financial exchange. marriage lasted 30 yrs.
when we split, i was left w a few million. i have doubled that in the 6 yrs since.
and about to double it again.

and yeah, i dont apologize for any of that shit.

been tracing my tree. interesting shit.
had no idea i came from anything but poor ppl. connected w a couple cousins over there, and yeah, no. powerful family.

proven by this lil fact- we have a banshee. dont know if you know that legend, but they are the ghosts of women who were murdered, or died in childbirth.
when someone in the family dies, the banshee tells the others.
when my uncle died, my dad was already full of cancer, and doped up. out of it.
but at almost the moment his brother passed, he woke up calling his name.
only the big families have them.

planning a trip over there. i am entitled to duel citizenship, and will do that first.
going to stay in a town called kinnity. that is where my dad's family is from.
there is a castle, kinnity castle, that is a b&b. plan to stay there.
a cousin i found over there says it is haunted. never used to believe in such things, but that story about my dad always did make me go hmmmm.
