This isn't how things should be.

Because we hear it multiple times a day, it would be easy to slide down into a version of "normal" where listening to broadcasters blithely discussing the latest obvious transparent lie of the supposed POTUS did not shock us. Let's not go there.

It still strikes me as discordant and offensive when I realize that so many of the opinions voiced by "political analysts" are premised on the unprecedented assumption that "of course" what Trump---or one of his offspring---or one of his paid "fluffers"---just said is an outrageous lie! And, then, often with no more outrage or passion than the play-by-play of a chess match, the lie is discussed and "explained"---or justified.

This ain't right, folks.

We know it.

Let's remember it.

We here at DU know it's bullshit, but there are still a lot of people out there that are listening to these programs who don't and will just take all these lies at face value. It is extremely damaging.

I just hope the average swing voter isn't as stupid and gullible as they seem to be.

that do believe what he says. To me, that's almost more shocking than that the President of the United States is a pathological liar and psychopath.

And on another thread here at DU, we are discussing what to do about the at least two incompetent judges on the SCOTUS, just another problem to solve that when you examine it objectively is almost inconceivable. This is really an incredible moment in the history of this country.
