Police in Quebec City arrested a male suspect shortly before 1 a.m. ET Sunday morning after stabbings left two dead and five injured.

He said the five victims have been transported to a local hospital, with varying levels of injury. The suspect has also been taken to hospital for evaluation, Doyon said.

Police said late Saturday they were hunting for a man dressed in medieval clothing and armed with a bladed weapon who left "multiple victims."
