Did Trump actually designate the KKK a terrorist organization?

I see many articles about him vowing to do so -- along with Antifa, of course -- but can't find, and don't know where to look, where this was actually done. Come to think about it, I don't even know HOW it's done.

Anyone have more info?

2. Absolutely correct

There is no legal authority to designate a “domestic terrorist organization”. There are authorities to designate a foreign terrorist organization - primarily the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. All this talk about designating domestic organizations is all blowing smoke. There is no authority under existing law. (For the record, this is my area. I’ve been working on these issues for 30 years, both in and out of the government.)
