8. Great point! The reason I ultimately backed Biden was because of down ticket races

I knew he wouldn’t hurt anyone running on Dem ticket. Now I’m seeing he has coattails!

We have a better chance of electing Joe Biden in TX than we do of unseating Cornyn, sadly.

Texas should be their California, and the strong trend there is blue.

Biden will win CA by 30+ points and he’s fighting Trumpass to a draw in TX. The R’s don’t control a single large state by anything resembling a strong majority. All of which they know of course, hence their reliance on the courts, but minority rule via clubhouse appointees is a built-in voter turnout driver for our side; won’t take a messaging genius to figure that one out.

If they weren’t dealing with a voter base driven insane by a highly organized communications machine spewing non-stop lies and conspiracy theories, they could change their model, lay off the grievances and compete for votes on the basis of something more meaningful to people than fear and anger. But nah. They’ll be stuck with what they have for a very long time.

It's hold on things is a mile wide and an inch deep. At some point, there will be a last gasp of sorts.

Point is now they don’t have a California, or a New York or even an Illinois. Just a bunch of small/midsize states and battlegrounds.
