Spearmint is best, but peppermint will do.

Let it cool or add a little cold water so you can take bigger gulps - which helps it work faster.

Hope you feel better.

That sounds awful

It’s possible that I missing something here but if you’re uncomfortable I really hope you get medical care and feel much better soon

BRA? WTF...? What is that?

It's where my stress lands in my body. I think if I go out and move I'll be better.

Here's an admission: I'm either going to be toast-ed (sweet cocktail of marijuana - recreational is legal here! - and alcohol) OR moving, through at least Tuesday. I think if I can get through election night, I'll be past the PTSD.

I have scheduled NOTHING of any import for the next 2 days.

I am going to take care of some basic grocery shopping tomorrow so I don't have to go out for the rest of the week.

adrenal gland releases a hormone called aldosterone so when low salt levels tell this hormone to throw away the potassium, it's the rapid excrement of potassium that puts the stress on the kidneys. Make sure the salt is iodized.

Instead you could take a potassium pill with lots of water.

Kidney pain is not fun and often leads to kidney stones -- also not fun.

I'm a horse nut? That's another good idea..spend some time with them!

I take "Natural Calm," a magnesium supplement that you can get combined with Calcium that really helps with charley horses. No potassium though. I'll have to look into that. Thanks! I do have some bad chemistry in my kidneys.... had a telehealth with nephrologist earlier this year!

Also - we've been using Himalayan pink salt exclusively, and I just checked and it has no iodine! Kosher salt is on my grocery list.

a Group post about this just before the COVID and have intended to do a follow up but am just too busy right now. If you use Kosher salt use the kind that has iodine added.

One of the facts that I discovered is that the rise in thyroid issues is related to the lack of use of iodized salt in consumer prepared products.

I don't eat a lot of processed foods...but this is really good to know, and made me check that Himalayan pink salt!

I need to share with my daughter, too.

Thanks!

I has to stop drinking, it was getting out of control. Soon our world will return to a more "normal" place and we can all relax a bit.
I'm looking forward to the time when the "Kars for Kids" radio jingle is the biggest irritation in my day.
Relax and turn off the TV. Spend more time in your garden, and walk your dog. I promise, it will get better.

that's right - we are both Washingtonians! Seahawks have been a rare bright light for me this season. I felt their loss last week painfully.

Even though I am not a christian, I ADORE Russell (and wife) and their brand of religiosity: inclusive, and they walk the talk. He is a rare individual - a true leader of people. I think he would be a great public leader (dare I say politician?). He has all the leadership qualities!

It does crack me up when he posts on Twitter "all power to Jesus" or words to that effect, every game day. I just want to ask him: DO YOU THINK JESUS IS ON TWITTER??
