He hasn't been CEO or Chairman for years, and quit the board earlier this year.

he is listed as Microsoft chairman, which he hasn’t been since 2014, so I wonder if it might be a bad actor donating in his name.




Still, even if it’s fake, while he seems to have given more to Democrats, Gates has donated to plenty of Republicans in his time.

That’s a huge head scratcher. Only thing is maybe these companies are giving to both? Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense. The young mostly go to the Gap.

Companies CANNOT give money to candidates. This may involve INDIVIDUALS working for those companies who are contributing, but they have the same contribution limits as everyone else. Corporate PACS are also limited in the amounts they can give an individual candidate.

Home Depot, despite all the moaning, groaning and boycotting that one of the co-founders and owners (Bernie Marcus) - twenty years ago - is a Chump supporter.

"Bernie retired from The Home Depot about 20 years ago and does not speak on behalf of the company," a Home Depot spokesperson told Business Insider. "The Home Depot does not give money to presidential campaigns or endorse presidential candidates."
