So this is why Trump won't concede - more campaign donations...

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/31/us/politics/trump-fundraising-donations.html

TLDR: They are already soliciting post-election day donations and automatically opting people in to a weekly contribution to combat fraud and to finance recounts. The automatic weekly contributions will end "“When the recount or litigation process ends, the recurring payments will end."

So even if he knows he has lost, he will continue scamming his followers out of hundreds of millions of dollars to continue funneling into his bank account.

Campaigns are allowed to continue to fund-raise after they drop out to pay off debts, etc.

"At times, candidates need to keep fundraising after they drop out, just to pay off the bills they ran up while running. Six months after they dropped out of the 2012 presidential nomination race, failed Republican candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum were still working to pay off their campaign debts. Former presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani, Dennis Kucinich and John Edwards took years to pay off their campaign debts."

Considering that is money that might otherwise be used "productively" by the GOP. Maybe Trumpism can be a lasting 3rd party that continues to draw votes off the right wing.

Sure...keep sending Trump money after the election as if it's doing anything but lining his pockets to help pay off his Russia debt.

This "not accepting the results" crap is not about winning the election, it's about grabbing as much cash as he can. For all this talk about an army of lawyers, he probably has just enough on hand to keep challenging results in court for as long as he possibly can, just to keep the money rolling in.

"The automatic weekly contributions will end 'When the recount or litigation process ends.'"

Hope those donors are looking forward to a lifetime of weekly emails talking about how "We're almost there," and "Biden will be forced to concede any day now."

That's why he talking about going to court as soon as the polls close -- so he can turn on that post-election MAGA money spigot.

Trump is not letting the cash cow that's the republican base go. The Trump family will milk it for years to come.
