Perhaps the very most important thing Biden/Harris administration do is election/vote reform.

It should not be possible for an incumbent president and his administration to subvert elections in any way, shape or form. Just NO! No one should be able to do so.

We have seen a president suggest violence against voters.

We have witnessed a political appointee, DeJoy, subvert the election via sabotage of the USPS.

We have watched MAGAT’s (Make America Great Again Trumpanzes) patted on the back for attacking a Biden/Harris campaign bus in Texas.

We are seeing MAGATs blocking access to voting places.

We are seeing votes being challenged for spurious and fictional allegations of impropriety.

As I write this a Texas judge has closed a hearing, on ballot validity, to the press.

On and on it goes. Republicans have come to the crystal clear understanding that they cannot win in a fair election. Voter suppression, gerrymandering and threats and acts of violence are all they have left. It won’t be enough. But we cannot put the American people through another one of these third world elections scams.

Hopefully, with the presidency, senate and House in hand we can create a safe place for the most elemental portion of participatory democracy to function, at the voting booth, in mail in voting and early voting. It must be a priority for our survival as a nation as the founders intended. As Benjamin Franklin said when asked what we had created, he responded “a democracy, if you can keep it”. Keep it we must.

Tuesday is the first day of the rest of America’s life...let’s hope Wednesday is not it’s last day.

to try to put up guardrails against a dangerous president like Trump in terms of the power of the president. The imperial president must end.

There actually is room for some bipartisan solutions on this one.

Make voter registration federal, tied to citizenship records. No more room for pubs to claim people are voting in multiple states, or 'illegals' are voting.

No more inactive voters or purges. you are still registered to vote if you haven't for a decade.

is addressing the policing situation. the brutality cops are showing peaceful demonstrators and the ass kissing they give the chuds is a deep divide and one of the enablers of these MAGAt caravans flaunting laws while armed to the teeth. if this doesn't change, the violence will get worse.

the bullshit ain't gonna change with another old white guy at the helm unless they move a little left.
