But no longer contesting the validity of the 127,000 votes cast in drive-through voting during the early voting period.

A more or less complete fold, in other words.

127,000 previous drop off is ok. Any drop off on Nov. 3rd will be invalid.

If you're gonna ask the courts to rig the election, isn't that a "go big or go home" moment?

Or do they really believe that it's gonna be so close they NEED this marginal advantage to be granted by the courts in order to prevail and don't want to risk it by overreaching?

It is to sew doubt into drive through voting. If you were going to use drive through yesterday, you might have picked another method. Same thing as this law suit, if you are going to use drive through tomorrow, you might consider another method. And when people reconsider, they might end up not voting.

I guess they figure all GOPs who vote for shithole is fine and can vote in person. It is a win for the 127,000 which all are not Democrats. Some are others, some are GOP.

If the decision is favorable, they can appeal the rest. But I doubt this will work. Drive through voting doesn't harm them but does harm voters who want to use it.

Ask any Texas Republican how they'd feel in this scenario: Their favorite football team is behind 21-17, ball on the opponent's eight yard line. Time for one more play, and the other team wants to change the rules so a touchdown counts for two points, and a field goal is worth one point. They'd be okay with that, right?

Their hope is that their voters will predominate on 'the day', and they had better hope, because ours seem to be well advanced already. One would think they would want things as easy as possible tomorrow....
