Guys
Very nervous about Florida. GOP has overtaken about 160 K and not enough Dems coming out. Will they come out in couple of hours? Hope independents go overwhelming for Joe.
How are other states?

(9,998 posts)Joe doesn't Need Florida. But Drumpf does, so he should be terrified that it's even close.

(8,722 posts)Florida, interestingly enough has been counting early votes since 22 days before today. (Seen at the link below.)
I expect Florida to start announcing votes as normal.
https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/absentee-and-mail-voting-policies-in-effect-for-the-2020-election.aspx
PA, on the other hand, couldn't start counting early votes until 7 AM today. I expect they will announce much later tonight... really late.
So if we see FL go to Biden Trump is done.
If we see FL go to Trump, no big deal, we don't need that state. If NC and/or GA flip, Biden also wins (plus MI, and WI are needed there)

(9,706 posts)or a rePuke in a general election? That seems very strange to me. Why would they need to know?
OriginalGeek
(12,132 posts)when they look you up your voter ID card is on their screen so they see it anyway. Could have avoided that by filling out the mail-in ballot and dropping it in the collection box.

(28,783 posts)After 9.7 million people voted early, some experts believe Texas might be on a path to potentially surpass 12 million voters when all is said and done.
Also from Adam Bennett: To the 1 million or so registered voters in Harris Co. still needing to cast their ballot:
You can go to ANY of the 800+ polling sites (check locations/wait times below
At 11 a.m., more than 75,000 votes have been cast in Harris County so far on #ElectionDay
Harris Co. Clerk says he'll release the unofficial tally as usual: Early voting + mail ballots (1.4M+) around 7p, the rest of the results as they come in. @cghollins
: We will not have an election week here in Harris County, we will have an Election Night!

(8,722 posts)The volumes in Texas are insane. How many of these "new" voters could be for Trump? How popular is he in Texas for real?
I wonder that many of these new voters are Dems motivated to go to the polls when Texas for us is often so depressing when voting.

(436 posts)Scott Rasmussens last poll had Ind voters breaking hard to Biden AND 10% Republican defection. So say of the 2M early cast Vite you have 200k Rs voting Biden and maybe 50k Ds voting Trump. That squares things. Then you give 10% of Indies to Biden and that gives Biden a 200k lead. Then if you really want to go crazy, take another 100k of Rs abstaining or voting third party.
In other words, f*cking close.

(14,250 posts)I see only 50K more GOP votes for TODAY only. They are still only at 52% of todays vote, and they NEED to be over 65% to catch up to our early vote advantage.
And Miami Dade hasn't even reported yet.

(25,911 posts)And, some of us on here have actually worked EV polls the past two weeks and have told them they are 100% wrong, and they insist WE are wrong.
At this point it is just annoying, but they are scaring some posters and they need to stop now.

(609 posts)You know why I am freaking out. Dems are underperforming in Florida and I just don't get it. It is life and death and all I see is GOP are ahead. Just want it to go for us. Hope independents help. Some of you helped me freak a tad bit less.
Also Florida has perfected the art of suppression. How many Miami Dade ballots will arrive from USPS tonight
Thanks

(14,250 posts)The gop is underperforming. They need 65%os todays vote. They are 52%.
They are way behind the firewall right now.

(25,911 posts)Over the last few days. I'm on the ground here, and did poll work here in SOFL, and what they generally say is either 100% wrong, or creatively skewed.
We are kicking ass here in SOFL.

(609 posts)Sorry some see it as gloom and doom. Far from it. Just worried. We all have the same objective-some are over-confident, less confident, nervous, brave, foolhardy, all strands.
Anyway, here is a source:
