Campaigns can fund-raise after the election to pay campaign debts, etc. If you want them to stop, stop them.

I appreciate the reason out-of-state campaigns keep asking. I'm OK with clearing my texts and e-mails periodically. I just hope it stops soon.

My contributions were through ActBlue. I suspect they are legit. I'm sure the campaigns will have debts to pay. I'm just not interested in making a contribution that will not advance the ball.

Don’t get the whining I keep seeing here about this.

What an unsubstantial thing to whinge about.

I had to look up that one. Definition: "Complain persistently and in a peevish or irritating way." As a crossword addict, I appreciate the education.

This is my first post about this issue, so I have not been persistent. I hope I my post was neither peevish nor irritating.

My family is both.

No, it’s not you specifically, but there was a long thread about this a few days ago. Just annoyed me given whatever else we have going on here.

Whinge was a new word for me.

Any day a word is added to the vocabulary is a good day.

When I’m in Ireland, and I hear, “stop your whinging” it always cracks me up.

Both of the Gs are soft.

I have always been convinced Francis Bacon was correct: “Money is like manure, its only good if you spread it around.” My wife does not agree. Then again, she holds the patent on copper wire, which she invented stretching pennies.
