And she may not run in the new district.

She's "running for VP" now, I guess, but I think this may be the end of her.

Does that mean MN is a Democratic led state that redistricted her out of existence?
Can't say I'll miss her and that nasal twang she speaks through.

It's looking like Fox News has a line all the way around the block now of unemployed republicans seeking a job sitting on their well worn asses.

It's about 100 miles end to end. There's no reason the eastern part (Woodbury) should be part of her district. It's not like most of the Twin Cities area which is blue. It's got high unemployment and foreclosures so comparable to Mississippi (mostly rural too).

I'll bet the farm she ends up as a Fox News parrot.

Hard to say what will happen to her district which, as pointed out in another post, was the most gerrymandered district after the last redistricting.

We won't know unitl late February what our Congressional districts will look like.

looking like a fool, polling badly, and making TX look like the butt of the Nation again.. I mean they already gave us Dubya, they could have quietly kept this buffoon back home and no one would have been the wiser.

They've re-elected a do-nothing twit who openly admits she's done nothing for them.

But as you've seen upthread, they have been gerrymandered out. I'd like to see her try to run against Klobuchar, just to see her trounced.

Where do you get off calling ME an idiot?

138,544 of us DID NOT vote for that fruitcake. In fact, myself and many other "complete idiots" worked our butts off for Tarryl Clark, but couldn't overcome the rigged game of gerrymandering.

Wanna rephrase that insult?

I really can't get better than that, because it still wasn't even close. You should move. Really. Just knowing that many intensely stupid and bigoted people were in my area would be more than I could deal with.

Because you didn't bother to read and understand how it is that that the system got rigged to allow the crazy lady to get into Congress?

Really?

I think perhaps you should step back from politics a bit, if you think it's the sole deciding factor as to where a family lives. I really don't "get" where you get off saying something like that. Are you always this angry, insulting and bitter?

Everyday you have to be pleasant to dozens upon dozens of people who voted for that hateful lunatic. Glad you've made the best of it.

I'm sorry you don't "get" it, but yes, I'd make it a point to avoid any district or state that had someone that vile representing them.

And even worse when Presidents are doing it for the second term of their office they spend half their time campaigning .

I think she's gone. Not all of her constituents are idiots. My son, who is fairly conservative and lives in her district wouldn't vote for her, neither would any of his friends. They all think she's an idiot and voted for Tarryl Clark last go around.

Her idiocy was only confirmed by her presidential campaign. The lies she told and the gaffes she made were causes for embarrassment for many in her district. Does anyone really think Romney or anyone else would really pick her for VP? Of course, we do have Sarah Palin, thanks to McCain. So, who knows?????

Seems like every time I would read about her she would be anywhere but her home state.

The people who elected her certainly did not get what they paid for.

Not being at your job or not doing your job (obstruction) is o.k. if you're a Republican. The rest of us don't get paid (and don't usually get to keep our job) if we don't show up for work and/or do our job.

Giffords is out because she is recovering from being shot in the head. Bachmann and Paul are out because they are trying to advance their political careers. To equate their absence with Giffords' is ridiculous. It suggests that people who take time off because they are injured or sick should lose their jobs.

I'd be willing to cut Bachmann and Paul some slack if the repugs would refrain from condemning Democrats for doing the same. They continue to blast President Obama for "campaigning instead of doing is job". They did the same with John Kerry,as well, IIRC. Apparently, only they, and not Democrats are allowed to campaign for other offices while seated in their current office.

Shoot. One of our local representatives only nominally lives in his district. He's registered in the house he uses while he's in the state capitol. His nicer pad down in SoCal... that's apparently a vacation home. Must be nice having a family that's on vacation 365 days a year.
