they are really impressed with the sound of their own expertise, but STFU until ALL the votes are counted.

They (and many voters) seem to forget that their "callings" are NOT in any way official. I wish, as has been discussed many times, that NO results can be posted, no predictions made, until ALL the polls close. This obsessive need for instant gratification is not in any way helpful.

We need to remind people that there is NO law stating that results be known (meaning ignoring, for example, overseas military votes) and a winner declared on election night. People really need to stop letting the media and short attention span types freak us out.

I didn't want a repeat of 2016 in my household, watching Tweety (who is thankfully no longer on the air) slobbering and Kornacki doing his best helicopter arms ready to take off out of the studio. I sortof know the pundit shtick by now and I think reading the updates here (other than the doom and gloom) and getting my breaking news banners with some results) have sufficed so far.
