Voters in Louisiana approved an amendment on Tuesday to the states constitution saying that it does not protect the right to have an abortion or the funding of an abortion, NBC News projects.
The amendment adds language to the state constitution stating, nothing in this constitution shall be construed to secure or protect a right to abortion or require the funding of abortion."
Alabama, Tennessee and West Virginia also have similar language in their constitutions.

(10,009 posts)So until these patriarchal backward abortion banning states allow it, their wives, daughters, and mistresses of means will be traveling to states that do allow the procedure. So those without means will be forced to deal with it and/or rely on the state for help raising their unintended families.
