(34 posts)MSNBC just said almost none of the 2 million early votes have been counted. This should net a ton of votes for biden (Early voting has Dems by 1.1 million over Republicans).

(4,131 posts)We know how many votes were expected to be cast, how many have been counted and how many havent.
A little math tells us which states are still competitive and which are not.
PA is possible but its going to be very, very close and could just as easily (probably more easily) fall for Trump.

Philly is still counting mail ballots and officials say they will continue 24/7
No, Philly has not stopped counting mail ballots and is not behind schedule. Despite reports that Philadelphia has stopped counting its mail ballots or is significantly behind schedule, the livestream from the Convention Center shows workers making their way through yellow bins full of ballots.
City elections officials said they were working to count ballots around the clock, as planned. We are doing the canvass, we are not stopping for nobody, said Omar Sabir, one of three city commissioners, who run elections. Were here, were counting. The count has not stopped. If anything, another elections official said, Philadelphia is ahead of schedule when it comes to tallying mail ballots.
The confusion may stem from national news organizations' unfamiliarity with election results reporting in Pennsylvania. Counties do not always update the state system as often as they update their own websites, and at 11:40 p.m. the states website showed only 74,132 votes for Biden and 32,414 for Trump out of Philadelphia. At the same time, the citys own website showed 248,931 votes for Biden and 78,136 for Trump.

(128,903 posts)to help bolster our operations. We were able to buy a bunch of new scanners, letter extractors, and pay for those workers manning the operations plus provide them with PPE, AND to work 8 hour shifts to get it done. The camera is focusing on the people doing the extractions but earlier they had pulled the camera back to show the scanning machines too.

(9,895 posts)In reality - MI and WI won't be known tonight either, so this is what I am hanging hopes on - assumed wins in 2 states that are not currently in the Blue column...though the totals and breakdowns seem to indicate a positive outcome...
In this scenario, Biden needs any one of the three and he wins, Trump needs all three.
VA is making me nervous not being called and seeing some odd #'s (PTSD from '16 for sure...) and NC is razor thin from what I see...

(1,399 posts)All but a couple of red counties are virtually all in while Philadelphia is the only large blue county that is anywhere close to being counted, and its still at just 40%. Most of the large blue counties have only reported 17-25% counted, meaning there are a butt-load of blue votes left outstanding.
Remember there were over a million more Dem registered absentee ballots turned in than Repubs. Its all downhill for Republicans from here, thats why people were warning about the red mirage.

(24,412 posts)If Biden wins PA, would we likely claim all three? How do we think Wisconsin is looking? Thats the only one Im not sure will go blue (mostly due to Republican chicanery)
