(15,805 posts)So yay oregon!
That is great news. Awkward at the start but better than not starting.
The separate psilocybin measure that passed will take a couple of years to implement. People who want to take this magic mushroom hallucinogen, which has shown great promise therapeutically in as little as a single dose that can remedy depression for years,(Johns Hopkins study) will be required to do it under trained supervision in a licensed facility.
The good thing here is that neither a diagnosis nor a prescription will be required. It will be self referral.
The other measure that decriminalized drugs includes decriminalization of personal possession of small amounts of psilocybin.
This is simply great news for mental health.
