(26,044 posts)...the rest of it is idiotic, too. When have the votes ever been counted before the polls close, and had to stop instantly at that very moment? In standard elections (of which this definitely isn't one), you normally don't even start counting until after the polls close.

(1,041 posts)Sadly, I kind of get how Trump's brain processes information. I am a failure myself where it comes to my professional goals. Science (unlike politics) is not a pursuit (and rightly too) that rewards ignorance and chaos.
It is stressful to navigate information dense environments from a low information starting point with a fly by the seat of the pants style of working. It would induce hostility, paranoia and belligerence.
Unfortunately the very things (save for
some type of calming medication) which would be most soothing for this type of brain i.e. more organized information, more education (specifically science education) etc. are the very things he is most averse to.
Instead, he chooses histrionics, politics...It is hard to navigate the world with neither a moral compass nor a brain.
You should at least have something analogous to a human conscience or principles if you don't (metaphorically speaking) have a brain.
To keep trying to navigate the world based on animal cunning, crass opportunism, selfish egotism and banality is something only someone from the entertainment industry (more specifically, reality tv) or the crassest type of politician would do. The man has no self-awareness..a mostly unpleasant feeling if one is anything like this and yet vital if you want to at least strive towards a lower level of internal stress...if for no greater ideal.
And he is amoral and philosophically speaking, entirely vacuous....
