4. The Trumpsters will not care.

Based on the evidence of the last 5 years of Trump's ongoing running for office, they do not care if he hurts them or their loved ones, much less complete strangers.

I got on the elevator at the cancer center a couple of weeks ago. A young blonde woman, wearing a mask hopped on before I could hit the close door button. I don't think she had cancer because she had beautiful long hair and was too physically and verbally vigorous.

She starts her anti-masking speech at the top of her lungs. I was diagonally across the elevator from her, double-masked, and chemo-bald. I turned to face the corner.

At the end of each of 3 paragraphs, she shouted at the top of her lungs, "Trump 2020". Once on the elevator, once in lobby, and once as we walked outside.

My own husband (from whom I am separated), is one of these kind of Trumpsters. Are there any other kind? I think, at this point, there are not.

6. You are right. He could do MUCH worse than remove their

social security and medicare. I’m completely and very sadly serious when I say that man could do unspeakable harm to these people or their families in person and they’d still crawl over glass, salt and nuclear waste to vote for him, and consider it the best moment of their lives.

2. You would think that if you use tribalism as a voting criterion

you would first make sure that Big Chief has your tribe’s interests at heart, or a reliable mechanism for sacking him if he doesn’t. Tossing them into a roaring volcano might be a little too Hollywood, but some of our primitive ancestors had other, non-lethal, means of giving them the boot.

It is well for some of Big Chief’s followers that they have enough coins to survive—for a while if he gives them the shaft. But others are going to find temperate-zone shanty towns highly uncomfortable.
