Biggest surprise seems to be Hispanic voters.

From the 538 live blog

Amelia, you couldn’t be more right to ponder this. This could present a counterargument to the “emerging Democratic majority” thesis, which argued that the direction of the country’s demographic growth would disproportionately help Democrats. One of the more fascinating examples of this is Starr County, Texas, along the U.S.-Mexico border, where 96 percent of the population is of Hispanic or Latino origin. In 2016, Clinton won Starr by about 60 points. But Biden only carried it by 5 points, a massive shift.

3. Is'nt it just a small segment of the Hispanic voters who have a big fear of socialism

I think it has to do with abortion with many. Plus there is the factor that a lot of Hispanics supported Sanders. Where did they go, who did they vote for.

They're not wrong. They just don't take this kind of ratfuckery into account.

And there are plenty of black voters who like the buffoon.

I posted again that Hispanic votes shouldn’t be taken for granted.

And this thing about felons, why does everyone think they vote Dem?

but honestly they should get to vote because it is the right thing for society not because I think it will benefit my party.

So you thin if they’re non-white, they’ll be Dems.

Do some volunteer work in prisons or jails. It will open your eyes.

That being said, I think non-violent offenders should be allowed a vote.

10. yeah I think a group that is over half AA

and felons do tend to be over half AA, are likely to be over all voting Democratic if they are voting at all. Now, I do think people might over estimate the extent to which they vote Democratic but I find it beyond hard to believe that there is any group of people that is half AA, a goodly portion other non white, which votes majority GOP.

7. As more Hispanics arrive, US politics becomes more like Latin American politics
Wed Nov 4, 2020, 09:08 AM
Nov 2020

They bring with them the social, economic, religious, and racial attitudes of their home countries. This is particularly true of Latin American bourgeoisie refugees.

Democratic Party racial politics theorists, mainly black, don't really understand Latin American power and political structures. Instead, there is this romantic notion that all black and brown people are allies, which derives mainly from post-WW II anti-colonialism.

Instead, as America becomes more diverse, our politics will more closely resemble that of Brazil or India.

the idea that shifting demographics will ensure more progressive leadership. The more diversity there is the more white people vote for racists.
