The real question is whether the SC will comply. My bet is it's too far even for them. They will try to discard some random ballots but they can't say the batch of votes can't be counted.

It's outdated anyways. May Trump be the guiding light to a popular vote Presidential Election in 2024.

I know I'm being a smart ass - and it is probably not helping.

The reality is - in Trump's World - he would never realize how an activist such as me (and a Committee Member to boot) would run with HIS logic.

I do not think the Supreme Court could overrule the EC, because it is specified in the Constitution.

It would be fantastic to get rid of the EC!

His path to winning seems to be having the Justices he installed save his ass.

including the newest one, call themselves constitutional originalists, meaning they take the words of the Constitution literally and to mean what the drafters intended at the time. And the Constitution is quite clear about states running their own elections. Constitutionally, the legislature of each state determines how its electors are chosen; Art. II, Sec. 1, Clause 2 states that each state shall appoint electors "in such Manner as the Legislature Thereof May Direct." So if a state decides to choose its electors based on a popular vote in which voters can cast ballots by mail which must be counted if received by a date designated by the state legislature, I should think the originalists would be cool with that. Trump might be very disappointed with "his" justices.

that means ignoring the Constitution, just like Sessions.....it is how the fool rolls.

You are also correct, he isn't going to get what he wants. He just thinks he is entitled.
