Top Biden lawyer Bob Bauer notes that President Trump's lawyers have not showed up to the Supreme Court this morning, as he suggested overnight, for a reason. If they did, Bauer added: "He will be in for one of the most embarrassing defeats a president has ever suffered."

I think Trump is going to sue and sue, and tangle things up. And I have utterly no confidence that the SCOTUS will consider the actual merits rather than partisanship (cf. Bush v. Gore).

"Stop them from counting ballots because I want them to stop" is not a legal argument and no attorney is going to go to a court and make that. In 2000, there was a recount and a specific reason why there was an argument over specific ballots. There is no such issue now, he just wants the total to stop while he is in the lead(in Pennsylvania) and to not count any more votes. There is no legal reason any court would grant such a request right now.
