If Collins loses we have 50 senators plus VP Harris

Otherwise we have 49 and the soulless lizard remains majority leader, unless Cunningham manages a miracle in NC (what sort of grown man sextexts? Why can't politicians, in both parties, keep their pants on?)

her opponent conceded.

Another reason we lose is we refuse to fight tooth and claw for counting votes to completion.

NEVER concede.

NEVER!

I despise the bravado & bullying of the Rs, and I'd hate for us to become them. But, ffs, don't surrender so damn easily!

Peters still has a good chance, but that would bring it up to 48. We'll have to win a tough runoff in GA to make 49.

He's going to have a pull a few percent from people who voted for a republican the first time around if he's going to win.

at the bottom of a long alphabetic list, we'll have another 2 months of Trump acting out his narcissistic rage, a problem for his acolyte Loeffler, another 200,000+++ people will be dead by January 5 -- and many will leave behind grieving GA voters, and we'll have a spotlight on her corruption and deadly depraved indifference to the lives of Georgians.

Oh, and conservatives, and way too many on the left, have a long history of preferring black men to women of any color. Just ask Stacy Abrams. Misogyny rules racism.

These are not normal times.
It's not over until it's over.

There will be a runoff and it will be difficult to win with a unified GOP candidate. He was running against two repubs, they split the vote.

Forget that....

Runoffs have the lowest turnout imaginable known to man

OK I'm exaggerating, but I volunteer on campaigns, special election runoffs are always bad news for Democrats.

You're looking at a statewide runoff, 6 weeks or so after a general election. The only reason Warnock is making it to the runoff is because the special election was combined with the general election.

Alaska May get a tremendous surge of federal spending. I will support bridges to nowhere in return for a rebuilt more inclusive health care system.
